Barely 24 hours after a bomb went off at a mosque killing over 20 people, another bomb has gone off in Borno state. This time it is at Moru-Moru market at Gamboru in Maiduguri Borno state. 4 persons have so far been confirmed dead. These recent bomb attacks come 48 hours after President Buhari said the Command and Control center of the Nigerian Army will be relocated to Maiduguri until Bomb Haram is defeated.

The President of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari and Vice President, Professor Yemi Osinbajo, have declared their assets, as required by the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. “The Code of Conduct Bureau on Friday acknowledged the submission of President Buhari’s and Vice President Osinbajo’s assets declaration form submitted separately on May 28, and signed for by the organisation’s Chairman, Sam Saba. President Buhari’s Declarant ID was given as: ‘President: 000001/2015′,” the statement read. Two young men who reportedly stopped an Isis suicide bomber entering a mosque in Saudi Arabia are being hailed as heroes after being killed when he blew himself up.   The friends, named as Mohammed Hassan Ali bin Isa and Abdul-Jalil al-Arbash, died after reportedly turning the attacker away from the Imam Hussein mosque in Dammam yesterday. Soldiers last night repelled an attack by Boko Haram as they attempted to invade Maiduguri, the capital of Borno state. The insurgents came in large numbers through Dala, a suburb of the town but were not able to enter due to obstacle imposed by the military. The soldiers engaged them in a fire exchange and they resorted to shelling from a distance into Maiduguri leaving eleven residents of the Gomari Airport area killed and many injured. An entire household of five was killed while other victims met their death randomly. The incidence which lasted through the night has thrown residents into fear and panic.

The remains of veteran actor, Peter Bunor who died earlier this month following protracted illness will be laid to rest today at his home-town, Ogwash-Uku in Delta State.  According to funeral arrangements released by the family, the Service of songs took place yesterday Friday, May 29, 2015 at his residence located along Dominion Hostel, through Nshiagu College, Delta State Polytechnic Road, Ogwash-Uku.
