NAF helicopter crashes in Makurdi

A military aircraft recently released from presidential fleet and handed over to the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has reportedly crashed in Makurdi, Benue State. The Nation gathered from a senior Air Force officer in Makurdi that the Augusta AW101 helicopter crashed after landing. The source, who pleaded not to be named, said it was not a major crash. “What happened was that the helicopter had landed but suddenly moved up and tumbled,” the source added. Our correspondent learnt that only the flight engineer was on board the chopper when it crashed and did not sustain serious injury. The NAF Public Relations Officer in Makurdi, Okon Bassey, who was contacted by our correspondent, feigned ignorance of the incident, claiming he is attending a course in Lagos and promised to send his assistant’s contact details. Many of us must have forgotten about this artist that actually made waves in the late 90s with his hit single as then  Denge Pose.  Baba Fryo  later disappeared into thin air shortly after. Now that the music trend has changed and no one remembers the past anymore, Baba Fryo has decided not to let his name and fame slip away just like that. The one time popular Reggae artist has decided to make a come back though he has not told us when to expect something officially from him. We also gathered that the reggae icon is currently into land business and according to him, the business has payed him well and he is going to use the proceed to update his style and bounce back.
