Wizkid's baby mama Sola Ogudugu recounted what she felt like when she found out she was pregnant at the age of 19. The Governor-elect of Benue state, Chief Samuel Ortom, has recounted his grass to grace experience as a motor park tout, adding that his election as governor was a divine arrangement from God. Speaking to  The Punch  in an exclusive chat in Makurdi, Ortom, admitted his elevation to hard work and firm believe in God. He said,  “My journey from being a motor park tout to an elected governor is purely a divine arrangement. I cast my mind back to when I dropped out of school in Form 2 but I remained hardworking and I did not engage in crime to survive. “One thing I know is that hard work pays and you must keep faith with God; power belongs to God and He alone gives it to whoever He will.” The former Minister of State for Industry, Trade and Investment said he had dropped out of school in Form 2 due to lack of funds but this did not force him to engage in criminal activities to survive.

The Lagos State Government says it has cancelled the restriction of movement during the May edition of the monthly sanitation scheduled for Saturday. The Commissioner for the Environment, Tunji Bello, said the decision was to allow for a hitch-free inauguration of the incoming Governor of the state, Akinwunmi Ambode, and the President-elect, Muhammadu Buhari. The commissioner explained that the cancellation of the restriction on movement would allow Nigerians to fully participate in the inauguration and other planned ceremonies. Bello further stated that the cancellation would allow easy transportation of fuel from tank farms in the state to other parts of the country.   Josephine Ugwu, the honest airport cleaner who found and returned $27,000 (N5.4 m) at the Murtala Mohammed International Airport in January this year, was presented a plaque and a cash gift of N30,000 by the Nigerian Orientation Agency NOA in Abuja on Monday May 18th. The DG of NOA, Mike Omeri presented the award to her and appreciated her for her honesty. Josephine while showing appreciation for the award and cash gift, appealed for a better job. "I was given N30,000. I was told that is the amount they give in reward for any patriotic act"

Mohammed Shehu, an aide to President-elect Buhari, has advised youths to pray instead of trekking for the incoming leader’s administration. Mr. Shehu gave this advice during an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), in Abuja today Monday May 18th. According to him, the incoming administration acknowledges the excitement of youths over Mr. Buhari’s election but would prefer that they channel their energies towards praying than embarking on, sometimes dangerous, journeys. Governor of Edo state, Adams Oshiomole is reportedly getting ready to re-marry, 5 years after losing his first wife, Clara, to cancer in 2010. According to sources close to the governor, Governor Oshiomole will be getting married to Miss Lala Forte at the Etsako West Local Government Council Marriage Registry, Auchi on Friday May 15th by 10am. Reception will take place at the People's Hall in Iyamho, Edo state. Oshiomhole has already sent out a personally signed letter to friends and associates inviting them to his wedding.
