There was a sit down protest in Jos, Plateau State this morning by youths in the state for Non-Payment of Salaries, insecurity, and so on. The protest took place on Yakubu Gowon way all the way to  Old Airport Junction

NAF helicopter crashes in Makurdi

A military aircraft recently released from presidential fleet and handed over to the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has reportedly crashed in Makurdi, Benue State. The Nation gathered from a senior Air Force officer in Makurdi that the Augusta AW101 helicopter crashed after landing. The source, who pleaded not to be named, said it was not a major crash. “What happened was that the helicopter had landed but suddenly moved up and tumbled,” the source added. Our correspondent learnt that only the flight engineer was on board the chopper when it crashed and did not sustain serious injury. The NAF Public Relations Officer in Makurdi, Okon Bassey, who was contacted by our correspondent, feigned ignorance of the incident, claiming he is attending a course in Lagos and promised to send his assistant’s contact details. Begin Here One way that has been really helpful for me to think about benchmarking is splitting it into four key segments: Aspirational Trended Earned Competitive I first heard of this method from  Kevin Shively at Simply Measured . His blog post goes into great depth for each of the four types of benchmarks. Here’s a quick explanation: 1. Aspirationa l Benchmarking: Learning from social leaders. 2. Trended  Benchmarking: Setting goals, projections, and standards based on previous activity. 3. Earned  Benchmarking: Comparing campaign or promotional efforts against a standard for success. 4. Competitive  Benchmarking: Setting goals and baselines for performance and growth based on your direct competitors. The only edit I’d consider for the list is possibly changing competitive benchmarking to inspirational benchmarking, thereby including influencers in the mix along with competitors.
