Challenges at the dawn of a New Era, State by State Analysis
We look at the challenges confronting the new administrations in the states as the governors begin their tenures For all 36 states of the federation, but seven, it is the dawn of a new era, as the governors get down to brass tacks after the hassles of election and the inaugural ceremonies. The April 11 elections produced new administrations in all the states, except Ondo, Osun, Edo, Ekiti, Bayelsa, Kogi, and Anambra states, where the tenures of the governors had yet to lapse. The transitions to the new governments have been largely seamless. But there are serious problems staring the governors in the face, which they must immediately deal with in order to have a good start in their respective states. Some of them are captured below.
