Finally; Maiduguri Records First Rainfall For The Year


Borno state capital Maiduguri on sunday may 3rd, recorded its first rainfall for the year after long wait... this was reported by News Agency of Nigeria



"The moderate down pour which started at about 5.30pm and lasted for about 30 minutes, brought relief to the city, which had experienced temperature of more than 47 degree Celsius.

Residents couldn’t control their excitement as one of them, Malam Alpha Ibrahim, told NAN that he was happy with the development.

If we recall, a similar phenomenon was recorded in Abuja on Saturday when residents also witnessed a moderate rainfall that brought about moderate cool weather.

A military aircraft recently released from presidential fleet and handed over to the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has reportedly crashed in Makurdi, Benue State. The Nation gathered from a senior Air Force officer in Makurdi that the Augusta AW101 helicopter crashed after landing.
